1974
Tosa is founded
TOSA Group is a family dream — the Tosa family, now in its second generation with Serena and Fabio at the head of the company.
In 1974, Beppe Tosa, born and raised in the wine-making heart of southern Piedmont, saw the potential in end-of-line packaging and founded TOSA, beginning to produce packaging machines.
Thanks to his brilliant intuition and his ability to see what his competitors merely observed, Beppe grew TOSA beyond national borders, opening up to unexplored markets and sectors.

1998
Acquisition of CMR
Aware of the diverse needs of the end-of-line sector, the founder acquired CMR in 1998, a historic company based in the Pavia area and a manufacturer of highly reliable strapping machines, among the first to invent and patent the strapping head.

2001
Acquisition of MIMI Srl
This was followed in 2001 by the acquisition of MIMI, a pioneer in shrink-wrapping with a solid international sales network, thereby enabling thecompanyto meet the needs of secondary packaging with heat-shrink film as well.
Thanks to the merger of the three companies, the Tosa family’s expertise in end-of-line solutions became global, and the evolution of the company into TOSA Group was a natural consequence.

Serena and Fabio join the company
In 2006, Serena and Fabio, who grew up breathing their father’s vision, joined the company and, driven by the dreams of their youth, succeeded in steering TOSA Group into the contemporary era. They do not stop, just as Beppe had done, at simply doing the best to meet market demands, but they anticipate needs, defining the contours of a reality in the making, until establishing themselves as a highly technological, futuristic, and truly global company.

Inauguration of the new headquarters in Santo Stefano Belbo
In 2012, they inaugurated the new headquarters, a true gem of sustainability and high performance, bringing an extra edge to processes, relationships, and quality — a product of a changing world that is becoming increasingly digital and global.

THE TOSA TEST LAB IS BORN
The in-house test lab is inaugurated, a space dedicated to validating packaging performance and simulating real-world transport conditions.
An environment where we develop and test the most effective solutions together with our customers, using an objective approach focused on safety, material optimization, and cargo reliability.

INTEGRATION OF THE METALWORKING DIVISION
With a view to achieving ever more comprehensive control over quality and the production process, TOSA acquires its long-standing partner specializing in metal fabrication.
A strategic move that strengthens vertical integration and ensures greater efficiency, precision, and continuity in the manufacture of machinery.

OPENING OF TOSA MECC - 360° Manufacturing
Sustainability, Big Data, Industry 4.0, and absolute quality continue to guide TOSA Group, which in 2026 takes full control of the supply chain with the opening of TOSA MECC, laying the foundation for truly 360° manufacturing.
Dreams continue to be the driving force behind the group, and Beppe’s vision continues to take shape and evolve through the energy and vision of his family.

Founded in 2023, TOSA Germany was established to strengthen the Group’s presence in the highly demanding German market.
Headquartered in Cologne and with over 450 machines installed, it has received a very positive response from the start, thanks to an approach focused on service quality and customer proximity.
TOSA IBERICA PACKAGING SOLUTIONS, S.L.
Spain
Founded in 2019 to meet the growing demand in the Iberian market, TOSA Iberica is now a rapidly expanding company.
Headquartered in Guadalajara, near Madrid, it manages a fleet of over 650 machines and stands out for its young and dynamic team, committed to the continuous development of the market.
